Save a show as a template

Postby noddie » Thu Apr 23, 2015 9:35 pm

Hi everyone
I have made several shows in producer 4.5 and have now upgraded to version 6.
My query is how do I go about preserving my work where I have collected shows and saved them.
I would like to create a template of the last show I have finished and then be able to open this in proshow producer 6 at another time. My reservation is, although I do not want to keep the photos, only the styles and layers within the show. Is this possible or will I have to go through and figure out all the layers, keyframes and styles when I produce another show from a template.
Thanks for any help with this
Cheers
Gwen

Hi

In the File Menu, use the command just below "Save" : my version is in french but I supposed it is "Save as Template".

The sortcut is CTRL Shift ALT T.

Then to use the template (extension pst) use File, "New from template" CTRL ALT N

Thank you Marie for your reply.
That is wonderful. The question still remaining is do I need to do anything to preserve my keyframes, styles and layers. Or will this be an automatic operation. Then when I do a new show from my template all I need is to insert my photos and the program shall have all the necessary elements it requires to make another show.
Thanks so much
cheers

HI again ;-)

Yes, it's exactly the same show without the photos which are replaced by empty layers ready for new photos...

Just another wee question. I saved as a template, but noticed that my styles have not been saved with the template? Is that normal. I was hoping that all I had to do with the new show/template was add new photos, and make a show quickly from an old one. Did I not do something when creating the template.
Thanks again

Oops sorry stand corrected, it is just some of the styles that are not working. These could be ones I added manually to the program. So it seems I have it all intact. Great
Thanks again
