Black and White Slides

Is it possible to make slides display grayscale? How can I accomplish this?

Have you tried the option to colorize your pictures (in Producer), in gray?
The default is RGB 128 128 128

In addition to that you can also play with the Contrast, the White Point, and the Black Point

Thanks for the response. I'm still new to Proshow. How exactly would I go about colorizing the photo?

Select the photo layer and the Adjustments tab where you'll see toward the bottom on the right a checkbox for Colorize. Place a check in the box, and the image will instantly go to grayscale. If it's too dark or light, or if you want more contrast, play with the sliders to achieve just the look you want. If you right-click the color box in Colorize, you'll see choices for copying the Colorize attribute. "Copy color to other layers" will bring up a screen where you can copy the attribute to specific layers in other slides. The other choices are best used when all your slides have just a photo layer. Play with these things because you won't break Producer. If you feel really unsure about what you're doing, save your show under a new name and play with the new show, leaving the original one untouched.

Thanks Barbara! However, I got to achieve the effect I was aiming for by just setting the saturation to 0.

Yes, setting the saturation to zero will certainly remove all color, and it's also a very direct solution. However, check to see how changing white and black points and also contrast affects the images since those things can make for black-and-whites that have a bit more snap. There's a problem when desaturating because two very different colors can end up looking pretty much the same. You could have red next to green, and when they're desaturated, you might not be able to tell where one color stops and the next one begins.
