Hi Debbie,

Thanks for instructions which I have been able to follow and get a mask to work using a gradient over an image.

With exactly the same settings, but using the snowflake m2v file, I just get white or black depending on my background slide colour. It does not seem to matter what my second layer is.

If I run (preview) the snowflake movie clip, it looks as expected - snow.

I have uploaded the (16Mb) snowflake file (zipped) to http://www.calico.co.uk/Download.html so it can be tried if you feel like it.

Thanks again for your help.

John,

Many thanks for this link. Using these files (mp4), I can easily get the "falling snow" effect. For some reason the previous file format (m2v) does not want to work on my system - Windows 8.1, PSP v 6.0.3397.

Appreciate your help.

Hello

John : your file is not working on my computer with windows 7...

The important thing is that you got a good file and then a solution.

Sorry John, I wanted to say that to dewcal. I made a mistake with the name

Your file was the solution for him to replace the m2v file which is not working for him and not for me when I tried to see what was tthe problem he encountered.

Hi Marie,

Thanks for confirmation it was not just me! The new mp4 files work very well.
