Sync Some Slides

In a show, I have four pieces of music and wish to sync some slides to the beat of the third tune. Can it be done ?

My solution was to copy the desired slides and place them in a new show, then add the music and syncronizing.
I made a note of the timings and applied them to the original show. Altough it worked it would have been very awkward had it involved several slides.

Is there a better way? I thought of joining the music to make it as one but I found it impossible to sync only some slides and leave the others as planned.
