Blu-ray Recording

I have been using PSP to record Blu-ray discs on standard DVD media using a standard DVD recorder in accordance with advice/ settings posted in discussions on this site in Jan this year. The results are good on the whole but I do find that some of my faster zooming/ panning sequences are a bit 'juddery'. Will upgrading to a Blu-ray recorder overcome this problem or is it an inherent problem with PSP.
I deliver AV shows to Camera Clubs etc in the UK and with quite a number of bookings for the forthcoming season, I am anxious to iron out any shortcomings in launching what is, for me, a new format for my presentations.
I have found the wealth of info available from reading previous posts to be invaluable and hope someone can point me in the right direction.
