several photos to a slide at one time
I have been working with PSG for about a year and I have just discovered this website and I love it. I made a show for my niece and she had a ton of photos. I made the show with several photos per slide. It turn out real good, I thought. Is there a way to add several photos to a slide at one time?

Select your photos using the shift key and mouse. Then use CTL and mouse to move to slide.

I believe that if the photos aren't listed in a series, you'll have to hold the control key, not the shift key, while selecting them.

Right Barbara. I was assuming that multiple pics on one slide would be similar or have something in common and most likely would have been taken in series. This is usually the case when working on my shows.

It's almost never the case with my photos. If I have flower photos, they're named for the flower followed by the date assigned by my camera, which I use only to keep ten asters from trying to overwrite one another. How come your pictures all fall in a row?

Because I"m anal and OCD? LOL I guess because I tend to use the group pictures mode a lot, and take a lot of pics of the same thing, the camera auto-numbers them and I don't bother to change to names. When I do, it is usually a date/number/letter thing which also keeps them in order. Oh, and I'm lazy too.)

One of these days, you're going to be very, very sorry you've given none of your photos descriptive names.

Re: several photos to a slide at one time
I'm sorry - but I tried this and it did not work - Do you mean adding multiple pictures to be slide or to a show? If a show, I understand. I have tried your suggestion to adding several pictures to a slide but it does not work for me - I must use the "layers" feature to accomplish this. Am I missing something?
Thanks.

Re: several photos to a slide at one time
After you've selected all of the photos you want to put on a given slide (using either the shift-click or control-click methods), you'll click on one the selected images (thereby selecting the group you selected), hold the control key down, and drag all of those images onto the slide. You'll end up with multiple layers on the single slide.
Likewise, you can drag an image onto a slide (this creates a single layer). Then, later, you can click on an image, hold down the control key, and drag that image to the same slide and create another layer on that slide.
You must use the control key, from the thumbnail window onto the timeline, to drag multiple images onto a single slide.
