Can you add borders to slides in PSG?

Postby JohnForrester » Sat Dec 15, 2007 3:02 am

I'm after a nice border frame to some slides, perhaps with a drop shadow. Am I right in saying you cannot do this in Proshow Gold?

It's great having all the wonderful motion and layers capability, but rather boring having plain no border images. I do have Photoshop however, so may need to look at using that?

Are 'templates' available that may do the job?

John,

In PSG under Slide Options>Editing there are options for an Outline & Drop Shadow for your layers. The
Outline is only a thin line. For something more exciting/elaborate you can add a frame as another layer
and have your image/s inside the frame. With Photoshop you can 'outline' your images with thicker lines
and there are also some other 'frame' effects. You can also 'Google' for free frames.

The above assumes you are using PSG3 which supports multiple layers.

That's fine thanks, I didn't look at the layers options.
As you say the border a bit thin and only one width, but with the right choice of colours it might be fine.
