Black & White to color

Postby nantory » Wed Jul 25, 2007 1:06 pm

Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to create the effect in slide shows that shows a picture as a background in black and white and then a frame zeroes in on certain parts of the picture and makes it color and moves to all different parts of the picture? I have seen this in a number of shows and can't seem to figure it out. Also, is it possible to do this in both PSG and PSP? Thanks for any information anyone can give me.

Thanks so much Jan. I really appreciate that there are so many knowledgeable members on this forum willing to help us beginners. I find your posts very helpful and appreciate the time you take to do them. These two tutorials were great, but the effect I was looking for is when a picture frame moves across the black and white photo and turns the part in the frame to color. Any ideas on how to achieve this? Thanks again.

Nan

That would be the mask effect. Ab Van Polen ( eep I think is his username) has really perfected this one. You could also email VidQueen as she is an expert at PSP and will know whether or not you can do this in PSG. Cheers Jan

Hi Gringa
According to VidQueen, it does not work with PSG, only Producer because of the masking and key frames. She posted a tutorial on the Tips & Tricks for PSP on this site.
