Running PSG under Win 7 64bit OS with access to more RAM
Sharing info that I learned from other ProShow users....
ISSUE: PSG and PSP were designed as 32 bit applications that could also run on a 64 bit OS machine. However, 32 bit apps can only access a relatively small amount of installed RAM; 64 bit designed apps can access more leading to a greater ability to handle more photos and music files without causing software issues
Fix: simple patch was developed to access more RAM if it was installed
As a fix, someone had created a simple patch that allows those with a Win 7 - 64 bit OS to access more than the standard 2GB of memory (if they have it installed). The website with a link to this free patch is here:
http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php
Although I've tried this patch and it seems to help me a great deal, use it at your own discretion.
