locate the slide containing "xyz.jpg"
I did an unsuccessful search on the forum.
I want to locate the slide containing a specific jpg. It's already in the show. I'd like to go to the thumbs and right click or through another method find the slide.
Is there a way to do that?
Thanks,
doug

Re: locate the slide containing "xyz.jpg"
Couple of ways although they are outside of Proshow -- Vernon Robinson has a utility that works with word to extract all the slides and other media into a table. That was discussed recently. The method I usually use is to simply open the .psh file for the show in a text editor and search for the "xyz.jpg" image name. When you find it, in the file, the slide number is 1 more than the cell[] number on that line.
Looking at a .psh file, you will find text that looks like the following - in this case, the image being
referenced is "DC_070405_0733_11.jpg" in the Pictures sub folder under the current location and it is for slide #11 (cell10)
Here is the thread with that information in it:

cell[10].nrOfImages=1

Thanks for your quick reply.
I'll look at the other threads and put them to use.

Doug
You could remove the jpg file from destination folder. When opening the show there will be a prompt telling you there is one file missing in slide ..... . That should give away where the image is being used.
I am sure there are more -better- ways, but this just came to mind .
