Thumbnail removal
When I have a single show I prefer not to have a thumbnail image on the menu page. I prefer just a image file from the show. Sometime back I called Photodex and they said to use "two list" from the thumbnail layout. That worked well. However a few days ago I had other problems with the menu and before I got the answer (use latest build) I played with everything. One was to insert a thumbnail for the show. Now that I have the Menu problem solved I would like to remove the thumbnail from that show. I have not been able to find a way to remove it. Can anyone help?

Re: Thumbnail removal
Customize Menu> Layers > Highlight the layer you wish to remove and hit the minus button is how I might do it.

Like you I often prefer to have no "thumbnail' to my shows which most of the time I only have one show, hence one image. Actually my image is still a thumbnail but I just enlarge it to cover the screen. Sometimes it's an image from the file folder and sometimes it's from a slide or a jpg made from a capture of a slide image. But the capture feature is only available with Producer.
You have the option of deleting the background image but it hardly matters IMO one way or another since the image on top covers it up.
Here are a few examples/options of various ways to cover the screen without using a smallish thumbnail.
"Bethlehem Village" - just one image covering the screen

"Afternoon With Grandma and Grandpa" - This one has no image, just background and some design elements

"Bridgeport" - A sort of layered framed look

"Olivia Is Three" - Utilizes a png image on a slide background that was a screen captured jpg

Doing a screen capture on a slide that has multiple elements appearing during the slide display time allows the user to choose what the "thumbnail" looks like depending on where the scrubber bar is positioned before right clicking to capture the image.
Hope that helps.

Re: Debbie You still there?
Debbie, the easiest way to have a single image on the menu is to use "TWO LIST" from the thumbnail menu. I found that out some time ago but somehow thought it was " Three.....".

Re: Thumbnail removal
That's a good tip. Looks like any of the "List" layout choices will do that too from One to Eight.
I think though if one wants to replace the Photodex background image with something else (image from your slide show as you stated) the user still has to drill down through the custom menu to do that to select a replacement file for that background. So if the layout happens to be set on one thumbnail over the background, I just remove the background instead and keep the title/show thumbnail and increase it to cover the screen.
So there are a number of ways to approach it. Thanks for sharing how you do it.
