Staple appear with staple sound

Postby kojaysnana » Tue Mar 31, 2009 4:25 am

Hi All,

I've had PSG for almost a year and have created many simple slideshows. I just recently found this forum and I am very excited about it. I just knew there had to be some extra help out there somewhere and the name PS Enthusiasts fits me to a "t"! :D

I have seen Erik Simon's show and I am wondering if anyone can help me with the staple thing. I have the staple (png) and the staple sound. I would like to know how to get the staple to appear along with the sound, as if I am stapling a picture right b4 the viewers eyes in the show.

Thanks for any help

Welcome to the forum.

In Gold this will have to be accomplished with two slides (in Producer it could be done in one with keyframes). I am assuming now that the 'staple picture' is of a staple on a transparent background, a .png file.

The first of your two slides will have the 'picture to be stapled' alone. Copy this picture to the following slide, slide two. Add the 'staple picture' as a layer above the picture (CTRL drag the staple to the slide should give this). Position and size the staple to the correct position.

Now add the sound of the staple to this slide (not the soundtrack).

Depending on how proficient you are this may be enough information, if not come back to us with where you are stuck.

I have seen Erik Simon's show...

Do you have a link to that? I can't find it, and I'd like to see it!

Ron

Glad it was sufficient information. It is always hard to tell how much instruction is required.

Hello All,
I am sorry I havent replied, I had a death in my family. I lost my brother, it was a shock. I still havent tried the turtorial but i am glad to know that it will work. As far as Erik Simon's show the only way I can find it is by going to Photodex.com, click on products, click on proshowgold and then click on demos, it is labeled my life so far.

I hope that helps
